TOM SHELTON is an accomplished writer, composer, musical director, teacher and actor. He is the author along with longtime collaborator Susan Hunter, of the award winning musical Caddie Woodlawn, published by Samuel French. He has also written a series of successful murder mysteries produced by The Gourmet Detective throughout Southern California, including "Darling, You Slay Me!"(published by Heuer) and "Stay Tuned For Murder". Other original works include "The Man Who Shot The Man Who Shot Jesse James", "The Disciples Undoing", "Speak Easy", and a long string of classic fairy tales musically adapted for the Barnsdall Theater in Hollywood. His play Silueta, written with Diana Burbano and Chris Shelton,  was a Playlab selection at the Great Plains Theater Conference, where it received a staged reading, and a finalist for the Ashland New Plays Festival (final round of 12). It also received a staged reading at the Cygnet Theater in San Diego. He is also a successful stage actor with credits in both regional and off-Broadway plays.


SUSAN C. HUNTER’s credits include several published plays and numerous productions of her work across the country. With her partner, Thomas R. Shelton, she was the recipient of the national playwriting award given by the Landers Theatre in Springfield, Missouri, for their musical adaptation of the classic novel Caddie Woodlawn by Carol Ryrie Brink. They were also commissioned by the San Diego Opera to write a children's opera, The Boy Who Ruled the Moon and Sun, which toured schools as part of the company's educational outreach program. Her full-length play, Flights, has been produced both in New York City and Los Angeles. In addition, she has had several one-acts produced nationwide, including Traffic Jam, High Hopes, Tired Feet and Dancing Shoes, Heart-to-Heart, Eternal Flame, and Springer Sprung. Many of her works were developed in association with Lisa Soland's All Original Playwright Workshop in North  Hollywood, California. She is currently a member of At Rise: Playwrights, and is part of the 2014-2015 writers’ pool with Playground-LA, both also based in Hollywood. As producer of Women Inventing Theatre at WriteAct Repertory, Ms. Hunter has helped other women playwrights bring their work to the stage.
